Depending on the size of your business (generally 50+ employees), an employer is required to offer most employees affordable and comprehensive coverage per the Affordable Care Act. This requirement comes with ERISA requirements, budget considerations and every day challenges people may face when administering and using their employee benefit plan. Employers under 50 employees offering an employee benefit plan are also subject to compliance and legal requirements.
